Which one should you use?
The Cursor command screenshots three widths and writes a pass/warn/fail audit in chat. The browser tool shows those widths live with synced scroll. Use the command when you want the agent to audit; use the tool when you want to see the page yourself.
Side by side.
| Option | What it does | Where it runs | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| responsive-preview command | Agent screenshots + audit in chat | Cursor slash command | You want a written layout audit |
| Responsive Preview tool | Live panes, synced scroll | Browser | You want to look and click Fix in Cursor |
When the command fits.
You are already in Cursor chat. Run the command, then ask for fixes on fails.
When the browser preview fits.
You need to see overflow as you resize. Open the tool. The existing Responsive Preview guide covers that UI.
